Our renewed Sustainability Policy Statement is valid as of 1st of January 2025. It complements UPM Code of Conduct, in particular the chapters on respecting people and human rights, addressing environmental impacts and product safety as well as engaging with stakeholders and society. The policy statement is approved by UPM Group Executive team.
UPM Sustainability Policy Statement
The purpose of this statement is to describe our commitments and positions regarding sustainability topics and the company’s responsible business conduct regarding them. The document also defines our approach to the governance of sustainability-related topics, and how our environmental and societal performance is assessed, managed, and continuously improved.
This statement applies to all our activities and the applicability of it to our partners in the value chain and other stakeholders is specified in the document’s relevant chapter.
